Mobility and transport can be a difficult task for those who are restricted by a disability. Whether the individual is confined to a wheelchair or requires assistance in other areas, the Motability scheme is designed to help those who suffer from these circumstances to remain mobile and self-sufficient in their day to day routine.

In order to qualify for the Motability Scheme, you must have claimed one out of 4 higher rate mobility allowances with a 12 month period remaining on your award. These allowances are:

  •         Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  •         Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  •         War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
  •         Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

5.      Skoda Citigo Hatchback

Out of this list, the Skoda Citigo is the smallest car available in the Motability scheme. This car comes as part of the Volkswagen up! range. This vehicle is perfect for the individual who lives in a tightly parked area (such as a town or city) but still requires the convenience of their own transport to get around. Although the Skoda Citigo is the cheapest out of the range, this doesn’t mean that the build quality has suffered. The driving experience is as refined as the Volkswagen up! with models reaching 68mpg.
